Course Outline
This course presents a unique opportunity to experience from both a child and an adult perspective, which will give you greater insight into working with Adult Survivors. The trainers have many years’ experience of working with both children and adults and both specialise in working with Trauma and Abuse using Sensorimotor Psychotherapy as a foundation. They are both advanced, certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapists.
This training will offer you a new, or growing edge in your therapeutic toolkit, as you will have the opportunity to learn collaboratively, develop attunement and become increasingly present in relationship with each other. Both mindfulness and Neuroscience are key integral concepts that underpin and inform the training.
The Training will be an increasingly experiential event as we move through the 4 days, so prepare yourself for active participation. You will be given guidance and have the opportunity for practice sessions, towards working with ‘Adult Survivors. The training will be held at Abington Barns near Cambridge. This is a peaceful, spacious and quiet location and has a lovely garden which we may use.
“A fantastic training course presented with utmost care for our wellbeing and respect for the subject matter. I left feeling better prepared to be able to be there with clients on their journey. Sally and Tim’s energy is contagious.” – GM
“A really excellent course – I picked up several new techniques for working with clients. The tutors created a safe, grounded and enjoyable environment within which to explore an otherwise heavy topic.” – SM
